Dear adults,
         This letter is for all of you that have taken the responsibility of guiding and directing the lives of this generation of "xstream" and "creek" students. Whether you are parents, grand-parents, guardians, relatives, pastors, or counselors; please take the time to read this part of the web site.
      The xstream creek youth group was put into place for purposes that maybe beyond our recognition. Sometimes even the youth pastor questions the reasons behind this ministry. When it come right down to it, Camp Creek Church and Vici Church of the Nazarene has taken a great leap of faith in investing in what I like to call the "younger creek generation" by spending time, money, and effort and then taking the stretch by hiring a youth pastor.
      My assurance to the parents is that the time that is spent during The Xstream Creek Youth Group is not wasted time. Whenever the youth gathers at an event or regular evening, we praise God with freedom, the Gospel is being preached and taught, but most of all God's love is being shown.
      As these things are being sown into the youth's lives there are things that The Xstream Creek Youth Group is not. We are not here to solely to entertain the youth. As a ministry organism we can only do so much in the lives of your children. There are things that we depend on you as parents to do. You are the parents and they are your children. As much as we would like our kids to treat us as their best friend, we need to understand that the first and most important position in their lives is to be a parent. Most of the parents at know this and live up to the call God placed in their lives. I am blessed to be working with such great parents in this area. It makes my job so much easier.
       Thank you so much for taking the time to read this important announcement. I will leave you with the groups purpose statement in hopes that you will read it and take to heart the big vision that this youth has.
